At NILEWOOD, we are committed to running a clean and environmentally aware operation in our factory and offices. We follow the environmental codes of the Egyptian authority that limit emissions and wastes.
We are particularly proud of our afforestation efforts in the western Egyptian desert. We have cultivated around 1,500 feddans of desert land, with plans to cultivate an additional 5,000 feddans in the future. We have transformed a desert area unto our own sustainable forests. Currently, our forests cover almost 3,000 feddans and are irrigated with treated wastewater, which helps to conserve natural resources and decrease groundwater levels.
NILEWOOD products are environmentally friendly. They are made from safe materials, including domestic and locally grown woods from our sustainable forests, and by using low-formaldehyde glues. Our manufacturing process is also low-impact and environmentally friendly, using a pioneering energy efficient drying process. At NILEWOOD, technological progress and ecological awareness go hand in hand.
